Compatible Devices
riot connects to intelligent edge hardware over a secure, outbound-only connection — no supervisory servers, no inbound ports. These are the device families riot supports today.
Any Niagara-Powered Device
Any device running the Tridium Niagara Framework connects to riot through the riot MQTT module. It installs on any Niagara AX or N4 station, so existing installations connect without replacing hardware — the Niagara ecosystem represents over one million instances deployed worldwide.
- Tridium — JACE 8000, JACE 9000, Niagara Edge 10
- Honeywell — Optimizer Suite
- KMC Controls — KMC Converge
- iSMA Controlli — MAC36NL
- Lynxspring — JENEsys Edge
- Conserve It — CI-EdgeX1
- Phoenix Contact — ILC 2050
…and any other Niagara-based controller.
Milesight WT201 / WT211 Thermostats
Milesight LoRaWAN smart thermostats with onboard local control and cloud management. They route through a Milesight UG63 LoRaWAN gateway, which bridges to MQTT — riot decodes each uplink into live points for temperature, setpoint, fan, mode, and occupancy.
EasyIO MQTT-Capable Devices
EasyIO (Johnson Controls) FW, FS, and Neo series controllers — compact, high-density I/O with built-in WiFi and production MQTT firmware. riot generates a configuration file you upload to the controller, so points map automatically with no manual setup.
Always Expanding
riot regularly adds support for new controllers, gateways, and sensors. If the device you want to connect isn't listed here, tell us — we evaluate new hardware requests on an ongoing basis.
